Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday
Compensation: $90,000-$125,000/year DOE

About the Role

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll support, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff; conduct performance reviews and support career growth.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls; identify and implement process improvements.
  • Assist in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate across departments to support operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
  • Strong systems skills; proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in [insert industry if applicable, e.g., manufacturing, nonprofit, construction].
  • ERP transition or implementation experience.
  • Multi-entity or multi-state accounting experience.
